Trans Agulhas still “World’s Toughest Inflatable Challenge”!
As South African hero Giniel de Villiers began his quest in the 2011 Dakar Rally, regarded as the toughest off-road rally in the world, another group of spirited participants were preparing for the “Dakar of the Sea” – the Trans Agulhas Inflatable Challenge. The 24th Trans Agulhas, still regarded as the “World’s Toughest Inflatable Challenge” require unrelenting guts, fitness and endurance as participants compete for status – these courageous men and women are our Legends of the Seas – and we salute you!

2011 TRI-FACET SADSAA NATIONALS
Heavy seas, pounding rain and a spirited camaraderie amongst fellow anglers were familiar sights at the recent 2011 Tri-Facet SADSAA Nationals. This is where the men got separated from the boys, the anglers from the amateurs, and the fishermen from the fools. This is monster fishing territory, where your best, and only your best, will do. Yzerfontein’s premier angling competition another huge success!
What better way to end the year than competing in one of the Cape West Coast’s most popular and prestigious angling competitions. The annual Yzerfontein Snoek Classic 2011 attracted hordes of spectators and anglers, all eager to land the biggest Snoek and compete for the ultimate first prize – a Yamaha Sea Cat 465.
SA Pro Wakeboard rookie Shaun Meredith is a guy who likes to party – whether it be on or off the water. He wakeboards like he parties – HARD! But there’s a serious side to this 22-year old from Boksburg. He’s passionate about wakeboarding, whether it’s promoting the sport or helping groms. Although he still has much to achieve, the future is looking bright for young Shaun Meredith.
